Moissanite, and all its benefits

Natural Moissanite is an incredibly rare, high thermal conductive gemstone, therefore most Moissanite gemstones require no mining, being that they are partially formed in controlled environments. Composed of silicon carbide, Moissanite stones receive a durability rating of 9.25 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness, not far behind diamonds rated at 10 on the same scale.

Brilliance - the appearance of light reflecting from the interior of the gemstone:

Moissanite, having a refractive index between 2.65 – 2.69, emits a fiery, colorful hue from the center of the gem.  The larger the gem, the more noticeable the hue.  Regardless of whether the Moissanite stone is Premium or Super Premium, these stones are substantially less expensive than diamonds.  Premium Moissanites are nearly colorless and can be compared to a G or H in color on the 4 C’s scale.  Super Premium Moissanites are colorless, falling within the D-F range.
